Image segmentation plays an important role in medical image processing. There are various methods including the variation method, the Mixture Gaussian model, and so on to accomplish the work. We propose the pixel-region dissimilarity functional to replace the functional in the Chan-Vese variation model. The simulation results show that our method is more robust to Chan-Vese model and the mixture Gaussian model.
