Dr. Dean Chou founded the Physiomech Group (PMG) in 2017. The group's name, physiomech, combines "physio-" (natural phenomena) and "-mech" (mechanics), reflecting our interdisciplinary approach in engineering and medicine. The PMG aims to explore the Virtual Physiological Human (VPH) concept by studying physiological and pathological conditions in humans using computational modeling. We apply mechanics and numerical schemes to address complex theoretical and engineering challenges, particularly in mechanical engineering. Additionally, we offer consultancy services to industrial partners, providing optimized solutions based on our expertise.
