Lithium Ion Battery

Introduction

This research is the simulation of the seperator of lithium ion battery at different charge/strain rates. Steady state and transient state force equilibrium equations of poroelasticity were used in the modeling. The programing process was done in FreeFEM finite element software, which is based on C++. The result shows that if we take transient phenomenon into consideration, wave behavior can be observed in the stress-strain curve under fast charging. The stress oscillation may deteriorate the fatigue life of the separator to an extent.
